Bliss....

I was standing on the sandbank taking a picture of the sunset when I turned around and saw our house caught so magically in the dying sun. It filled me with a bliss that I had to share. Come , visit and be renewed.

Oh and of course here is the sunset that drew me from the comfort of my room.

Those soooo cute and candid shots at all the awkward ages. I actually even found one of me from Grade 10.

This one is from the same time as the earlier snap I diced up and displayed a few weeks back. I did not have one of me and D'Arcy then but here is one now.

So any of you who reeeealy do not want to see your picture here drop a line. I don't react well to threats but I am open to negotiation.

Oh - I almost forgot - there are some of my sisters as well.

Stomping through the woods...

I finally headed off into the woods today. I headed off equipped with a freshly sharpened hatchet ready to blaze my way through the underbrush. Okay so there is a old well established trail but I did have to take out a few uppity alders and trim back a couple of aggressive spruce.

I found the perfect spot for my weir and a new bridge across the brook that runs through our property. I will have some film footage and a few still shot soon. I also settled on the spot where I will be building my cabin. I selected a few trees for felling and then headed back to the house for a celebratory martini. Hey - life in the wilds need not be without the finer things.

I did shoot a video as well. Once I finish editing it I will upload it to YouTube. Film at eleven or whenever...
