Hope is a seed...

I was watching Nobel Prize winner Muhammad Yunus being interviewed on PBS tonight. I was immediately struck by his joy. It poured out from him like sunshine. Listening to him I turned to my roommate Margo and said "Hope is a seed not a mountain".

I am at a joyful time in my life right now. How could I not be? I am following my lifelong dream - seeking to fulfil a wish I uttered when I heard of Solomon's choice - seeking wisdom.

My adult children are all in graduate school, following and perhaps discovering their own dreams. My teenage son is almost finished high school and dreams of being a film maker.

Perhaps we can find the joy I saw in the face of Muhammad Yunus tonight.
