I am just back from a week living out of my truck and my tent and I find even coming back to my home in the country is jarring. Being inside surrounded by all the amenities of modern life I feel smothered. As I was cleaning up and repacking my cooking kit I was so aware that I could be quite content to live a nomadic existence, traveling from place to place sleeping in my tent and cooking on my propane stove.
I have a plan to make some changes to my little truck to make it more suited to extended road trips. I feel that I could be very content just to make a living on the road wandering from place to place in North America not quite a hobo more a gypsy.
But for now I have to complete my research and then there is that dissertation to write. Well maybe I can be a gypsy every summer.
